Tips for Parents

Do your children play games with dice?

Have they played games where they have to add numbers less than ten to two-digit numbers?  Have they played top trumps?  Have they played games with money and games of chance?  These games develop essential basic number skills and mathematical ideas which will help your children to thrive.

On long car journeys have you played around with counting forwards and backwards anMother and daughterd in steps?  Have you set your children mathematical problems to think about?

In our session for parents we talk through these questions and work out next steps for you and your child.  We also teach you some of the key ideas of primary maths so that you are not baffled by new methods and you always know how to explain things in ways both you and your child will deeply understand.

There is no need to travel as sessions can be provided on Skype.
