I am very much aware that I have made public promised to livestream – answering questions in real time – if my RebeccaTheMathsLady YouTube channel achieved 1000 subscribers. This has now happened – much more quickly than I dreamed possible.

I will keep my promise to livestream – soon. I’m keen to do this to kind of high standard achieved by Atul Rana, who facilitates fabulous discussions about maths education (which generally focus more on secondary maths than primary). I want to facilitate open access discussions about primary maths education between everyone who cares about this topic.

This is yet another huge learning curve for me and I’m not quite sure how long it will take, which is why I’m not setting specific dates yet. I’m hugely grateful to Atul, who’s agreed to help me, but works very long hours himself. I do expect to be up and running properly in two to three weeks. In the meantime if you’ve subscribed to my YouTube channel, if you’re a member of my Facebook Group, or if you follow @authenticmaths on Twitter I might suddenly pop up live in your feeds as I try to get to grips with this. Please be kind to me if I do! This is scary.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who have supported me and who have subscribed to my YouTube channel. I promise to do my very best to meet your expectations.
